I have been following the work of Light Room PDX for a while now so when I saw that they were hosting a free styled shoot at their space I got excited to go check it out. I knew they were going to have 3 different vignettes to shoot and a basic time frame of when to come. I drove the 3 hours from Tacoma that morning and got to the city early so I could check out some local spots. I had heard about a new coffee shop opening up called Prince Coffee from some photographers I follow named Luke & Mallory. So I started out there and got a lovely cappuccino and snack. Then I headed to a favorite venue of mine in Portland called the Leach Botanical Gardens. If you want a beautiful serene space for a small ceremony this place is perfect! I would LOVE to shoot there again so definitely check them out!
Then I finally headed to the studio. The location is in a really cool spot over the river from downtown so it's easy to access. I loved meeting the owners and vendors involved. I tried my best to meet as many of the photographers there and have tried to stay in touch on Instagram. I also shot some 120mm film on my Twin Lens Reflex Holga. I got a few stellar shots that I'm pleased with. There was also a videographer team there capturing the day. They are called Glitch Films. They got a stellar video I've included below. Enjoy the photos and if you went to the event and if you met me there leave me a comment below!
