I was happy to meet Anne & Shahruz earlier to capture their engagement photos. Once we got to the wedding day I was really impressed with the event they put together. The venue was this lush & well maintained nursery out in Monroe, Wa. Pine Creek Nursery has all the makings of an excellent venue. The grounds were well maintained and the amenities made it an easy venue to host a wedding at. The weather was pretty typical Washington with clouds for most of the day but the temp was perfect for an outdoor event.

We were able to get great couples portraits and had plenty of options for the family photos. The ceremony included some unique touches of Scottish traditions & Persian ones. They even had a bagpiper for the recessional. The cocktail hour was so fun because they had a live jazz band playing for a while.

The food was seriously so good and their caterer was Alexa’s cafe & Catering.

The group attending that day so obviously loved and cared for the couple & it was such a great vibe the whole way through. I loved capturing both posed & documentary style images from the day. My goal is always to try and just capture what’s happening, but if someone wants a photo with a friend of course I’m grabbing that too. I also try to be pretty social during reception and capture groups of folks together or offer to get a nice portrait of a couple.
