Shadow play portraits with Ellyn

devin anding July 28, 2019

My last studio day I had Ellyn came along with her friend Kelsey and I convinced Ellyn to let me shoot with her for some photos. I knew I wanted to try the black backdrop and some simple shadows on her. But the backdrop was set up too far from the window. So we reset the whole set up to get everything next to the window. Then we also used a mirror to reflect the light onto different parts of her body. I’m really glad we took the time to set up here though because we got some raw delicate portraits. Enjoy!
